Yup, YouTube just went down (as of writing this post). You should see an error that looks like the following:

Http/1.1 Service Unavailable

But guess what? There’s a new YouTube watch page! They are probably just updating the main page, that’s why you are seeing this error.

‘m making a new video on this soon – but here is the text version a little early. 

Tutorial – how to extract mp3 from youtube videos. Great for music. 

1. Go to your youtube video with music, or whatever, that you want to rip the mp3 from.
2.  Copy the URL from the address bar
3. Go to http://vidtomp3.com/
4. Enter your url you copied earlier. 
5. Your mp3 will start downloading.

Congratulations! You just ripped a mp3 from a youtube video!

Tutorial: how to SSH (secure ftp) connect into your iPhone or iPod Touch. 

This is the text accompiniment to the video tutorial.

Here’s the tutorial.

1. On the iPhone or iPod go to Cydia or RockApp and install OpenSSH and WhatIP
2. Once those are installed, download either cyberduck (mac) or filezilla (pc) [[links in the footer]]
3. Open up your FTP client (cyberduck or filezilla)
4. Click connect. Choose SFTP (secure ftp connection – SSH Transform Method
5. In the server address type the address from WhatIP
6. Username: root Password : alpine
7. HIt connect.
8. You have now connected to your iPhone or iPod Touch to transfer files! Congratulations

How to do it.

1. Open this page in firefox.

2. install the plugin here.

3. Go to Tools -> Adblock Plus Preferences

4. Click “add filter”.

5. In the box that appears type .cpalead

6. Click apply. Refresh the affected page and watch the cpalead popup disappear and never come back.

7. Want to block all the other ads? If you have adblock plus installed this link should install a GIANT list of filters for you.

8. All the other ads will instantly disappear.

Hey folks,

As you may or may not know (from seeing my youtube page) I am the coleader and scripting lead for a Indie game project called “Present Fear Online”/”Anomoly”. We’re creating a new type of game – a MMORPGFPS – which mixes all of the most popular games of the internet – such as “Halo” and “Second Life” and “Runescape” into one big mixture, appealing to everyone.

We’re a new game team called Front Line 3D. We currently have over 200 guns modeled (HD modeling is in progress) and a very nice multiplayer system. We’ve got some videos on youtube, which you can see at http://youtube.com/forthfriend/ and at http://youtube.com/ace1981ace/

So recently I set up a uStream show(s) for us, those of which include one showing live beta tests which YOU can participate in and another channel where we show LIVE EDITING. Check them out! So a couple days ago Apple released a update for iPhones and iPods. As the description says, its just an update to fix a inaccurate power indicator on iPhones. But what many people have sadly not realized is that with this upgrade Apple also attached on a little change to the software. So little they decided it didn’t need a mention. This little change prevents any sort of Jailbreak to work on the iPhone or iPod. UPDATE: This tutorial has been updated. You can now upgrade to 3.1.3 and still jailbreak. Have fun!
